Roderick is a barrister and civil servant with domestic and international legislative expertise. He led on the reform of the law of bribery in the United Kingdom, which culminated in the Bribery Act 2010. Roderick subsequently developed the United Kingdom’s Government guidance published on 31st March 2011 and managed the implementation of the Act. Roderick has represented the United Kingdom in various anti-corruption fora and has acted for the OECD, the Council of Europe and the UN as an anti-corruption compliance evaluator. He has travelled extensively before and since the commencement of the Bribery Act on 1 July 2011 offering advice and guidance to the global business community, anti-corruption practitioners, law firms, foreign governments and civil-society on bribery and corruption in the public and private sectors, the Bribery Act, international standards, corporate liability and incentives for corporate bribery prevention. Roderick leads at the MoJ on economic crime generally and specifically on the consideration in recent years of the case for reform of the law governing corporate criminal liability for economic crime offences, including the recent publication of the Call for Evidence.

Roderick will be leading the appeal on UK recent new law enforcement and how does it effect international companies.
