John Papin is an internationally recognized expert in the application of lean, enterprise wide. He spent nearly 25 years in the Automotive Industry where he learned lean manufacturing on the shop floor with coaching from some of the leading experts at the time. He later pioneered the application of lean to New Product Development and Innovation and then expanded to all aspects of front and back office.
John has since helped a variety of companies apply lean thinking to their business and manufacturing processes, either as a consultant, an advisor, or an employee. These include such diverse businesses as the development and manufacture of nuclear submarines, product development for automotive components and tires to product development of Fast Moving Consumer Goods among others.
He is now Corporate Vice President of Excellence at Nexans where he is driving the application of lean principles to all facets of the company from lean manufacturing, to the End to End business processes, to New Product Development and R&D.
